Measurement - evaluation - post-processing
The Nor850 offers evaluation options according to common national and international room acoustic standards. Measurements can be extensively documented and evaluated. If you only discover afterwards that one of the individual measurements contains a disturbance, you can exclude it from the averaging. The results are then automatically updated. If the algorithm was unable to correctly set the compensation line during reverberation measurements due to background noise (which is displayed), this can be corrected manually. The software checks all standard criteria and gives you information about where criteria may not have been met.
Standards included:
ISO 3382-2: Acoustics — Measurement of room acoustic parameters — Part 2: Reverberation time in ordinary rooms
ISO 3382-3: Acoustics – Measurement of room acoustics parameters – Part 3: Open-plan offices
Measured variables:
- Distance to the sound source (airline), r
- Unweighted SPL of broadband noise, Lp,oss
- Unweighted SPL of background noise, Lp,B
- Speech intelligibility STI
Automatically calculated single values (for assessment):
- Spatial decay rate of the A-weighted SPL of speech, D2,S, in dB
- A-weighted SPL of speech at 4.0 m distance, Lp,A,S,4m, in dB
- Deflection distance, rD, in m
- Comfort distance, rC, in m
- Mean and standard deviation of the A-weighted SPL of the background noise across all measurement positions in a zone, Lp,A,B, in dB
The advantages of the system:
- Complete communication via WiFi
- Between the laptop and the Nor145 sound level meter
- Between laptop and Nor282 power amplifier
- So completely wireless
- Impulse response is transmitted digitally (WAV) from the Nor145 via WLAN
- No sound card required and therefore significantly less parameterization
- Complete evaluation according to ISO 3382-3 in the software
